Hello,

I would like to reply to your post addressed to admin Zakapior100. You wrote that you had been removed without warning and could not reconnect for several hours.

This was not a kick, but your third warning. The automated system therefore removed you from the server for one day, which was displayed on screen during the game. Zakapior did not issue the temporary ban manually. When a player already has two warnings, the third causes the system to decide how long the temporary ban should last. The first such penalty is usually only six minutes, but repeated rule violations increase its duration. The public ban list showed both the reason and the expiry time.

For context, here is the disciplinary history recorded on the server:

  • 29 January 2012, 18:57 — Radiation, admin: unsznuptryk: kick for breaking rule one;
  • 31 January 2012, 22:47 — Radiation, admin: bloodpoint27: another kick for rule one;
  • 1 February 2012, 21:37: an automatic warning for a word recognised by the system as profanity;
  • 4 February 2012, 16:13 — Summit, admin: zakapior100: kick for rule one;
  • 5 February 2012, 16:54: the third warning that triggered the temporary ban.

Rule one concerned movement: walking and running were not allowed; players had to move while crouched. Exceptions applied while aiming down sights, while under direct fire, when chased by dogs or an RC-XD, when a grenade was nearby, or while seeking cover from a napalm strike, mortar team, attack helicopter, Chopper Gunner or Gunship.

You also described a teamkill shortly before the warning. From my assessment, you stepped into Zakapior’s line of fire as he fired. The teamkill was accidental, although Zakapior should still have apologised and will do so when you next meet on the server. The warning itself concerned a separate rule violation visible shortly after you respawned; it was not retaliation for the teamkill.

I believe that emotion and adrenaline shaped your judgement, while another player’s comments reinforced a mistaken picture of our admin. You argued that an admin should either focus on playing or on maintaining order, and suggested that Zakapior was not ready to do both. I disagree: he assessed this incident correctly and performs his role well.

To show how demanding the job is, I offered you temporary admin permissions with no obligation. Instead of settling the matter through a duel, you could try to match Zakapior’s results while simultaneously keeping order and maintaining the infallibility and clarity you expect from us.

Kind regards,

UNSZNUPTRYK
